The idea of home is an important part of the artistic exploration of Andreas Savva. The house-shelter, the cocoon, the nest is assembled by wood and clothes so that it becomes a place of contemplation; a need of the soul which leads to deliberate isolation and retreat, given the conditions and the multiple problems which man is faced with.
One could translate it as a need for introspection or even mutation. The artist uses objects to replace human presence, which in its absence, is even more evident through the eyes of the spectator.
